When did Indiana become part of the east coast? I did not know it was part of the tri-state region.

mark

You mean you did not know that pizza originated in Gary, Indiana -- even before it was called apizza?

You really didn't know that Gary is the birthplace of the tomato pie, and that an Etruscan sneaked into town one dark night and stole the idea to take back to the old country?
RE: Wood Fired Pizza (RUkidding)

Take a look at Lthforum.com. Some people are not so happy with Stop50 in Michiana Shores. Some people think it's a ripoff. After you pay $22.00 per person for pizza and a salad, tell me if you agree that this is priced accordingly. Most people in Michiana Shores can't afford to eat there.

RE: Wood Fired Pizza (doggydaddy)

Looking at that photo, I have to ask. We all love pizza photos here on Roadfood.

On a side note, the Verizon pop up adds are starting to tick me off.

RE: Wood Fired Pizza (Big Kielbasa)

Next Time I get back to N/W Indiana I'll be sure to stop. It's located almost actually in Michiana Shores, just about a block off Lake Shore Drive. Simply the best pizza around. Traditional Naples Style Pizza, thin crust, fresh ingredients, and when I say fresh, it's everything. Hand crushed tomatoes, fresh mozzerella chesse, and all fresh herbs too.

The atmosphere is quaint, and the owner is very knowledgable and you can tell he takes pride in the quality.

Stop 50 Wood Fired Pizzeria
500 EL Portal
Michiana Shores, IN
219-879-8777
