Since going on the stock market, McDonald's began selling the stock. According to NYSE information, final disposition of McDonald's interest came in 2006. So, they are not longer the principle investor anymore. So, we were both wrong.

RE: Chipolte Restaurants Tomato Garden Salsa? (MilwFoodlovers)

Mickey D's just spun it off or they are in the process of doing so. In the nobody asked but here goes dept., this is a legitimate question but in the FF/chain division and no, I could never put vinegar in any salsa I make either. I do stop in maybe twice a year and I find the food tasty and the staff superbly trained. The mild salsa is a common salsa fresca and Google should turn up a few thousand recipes but you don't really need any. Tomato, jalapeno (with or w/o seeds and membranes), salt, lime juice, cilantro, diced onion and minced garlic in a combination that tastes right to you. That's it. Now I wouldn't mind a recipe for the corn salsa but I'll bet I can make one up that's close if I put my mind to it. The red and green tomatillo salsa's too are pretty basic salsa's and while I love heat, I find them pretty boringly ordinary (I think they need a much healthier amount of garlic).

RE: Chipolte Restaurants Tomato Garden Salsa? (Scorereader)

I know it's a chain. I know that Mc Donalds is a principal share holder.
I don't care. I'm hooked on their salad. I get peppers and onions instead of beans, so it's low carb. I love it. It's a meal I have at least 3 times per week.

Lettuce, peppers and onions, chicken, mild (garden) salsa, a little medium salsa, sour cream, cheese. I put some chipotle sauce over the top. it's fab.

[admittedly, though, this chould be in the FFF chain forum]

RE: Chipolte Restaurants Tomato Garden Salsa? If I am really felling adventerous I grill the vegetables (excluding cilantro), I then peel the tomaotes and chop everything up, add some lime juice and kosher salt and you have a pretty fine salsa.

RE: Chipolte Restaurants Tomato Garden Salsa? You bet it is, all those fresh ingredients. They're all good for you, especially the tomato and the chiles. The raw chiles have over 350% more Vitamin C than do oranges by the way, plus they're good for the GI system.

You left out the cilantro?

RE: Chipolte Restaurants Tomato Garden Salsa? Many folks on this board would rather catch the bubonic plague from a monkey at the Denver zoo then ever step foot in a chain restaraunt.

I am not of that ilk and do enjoy the occassional Chipotle burrito. Although, I rater enjoy their hot tomatillo salsa.

BTW - Welcome!!!

Chipolte Restaurants Tomato Garden Salsa?
