Maybe some milk or cream. Good luck.

RE: Tomato-based salad dressing (pearlie)

Thanks so much, RR--I'm going to give that a go.

RE: Tomato-based salad dressing (RubyRose)

This is my Great-Aunt Flora's recipe that she always called her "man pleasing" dressing. I still make it and it's good on a spinach, mushroom, bacon and toasted almond salad. I usually mix it in a blender.

AUNT FLORA'S M.P. DRESSING

1/4 cup ketchup
1/4 cup white sugar
1/4 cup oil
1/4 cup cider vinegar
1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
2 tsp. grated onion

Put in bowl and beat with egg beater or mixer. Pour into pint jar and let stand overnight. Stir up before serving.
Tomato-based salad dressing (pearlie)

I'm looking for recipes for a slightly sweet, tomatoey-based salad dressing. I had this years ago on a mixed greens salad with fresh ricotta at the now-defunct George's Spaghetti House in Toronto.

It tasted like a cleaner version of Kraft Casino/Catalina, as I recall, and I can't find anything similar in the online recipe databases.

This dressing was definitely not the tomato soup plus oil and vinegar item I keep turning up.

I've got some really fresh ricotta and I'm yearning to make this dressing.

Can anyone offer any help?
