Ice, tell your nephews to try their luck at Pente.org. The best Pente players in the world hang out there. You can also play against a multi skill level computer opponent. Pente is on the Hasbro game cd. And let us know how you like the Pizza!

No one else has ever had a hickory burger??? I'm gettin hungry for one at this point.

That's interesting, PapaJoe. I've never heard of that game, but my nephews probably have. They play a lot of strategy games.

I might have to head down to Edmond and have some pizza tonight...

Nic, those hick burgers are yummy! This thread has me wantin one real bad.

Ice, neat! The owner Gary Gabrel invented the great game of Pente. In MHO it's the purest stratagy game ever invented. Gary used to work a Hideaway while he was in college and bought the place after he sold Pente to Hasbro for 3 mil, neat story!

I helped orgianize an historic Pente tournament that was held at the OKC Hideaway location. What a host Gary was! Free pizza for all the Pente players. They flew in from all over the world. There is a great real time Pente site "pente.org" and most of the players who came to OKC play play there. I have a wood pente board signed by Gary and all the other top players. It is my MOST prized posession!!!

Anyway, great Pizza at Hideaway! It was my first taste of a Margerita pizza was at Hideaway. I loved it! I had a taste of every pizza on the menu. They were all good.

And, who else has had a Hick/Theta burger?

Yes, sir, I have been to Hideaway. I used to live in Stillwater back in my college days, and I've also been to the Edmond and north Oklahoma City locations. Good stuff!

A bit south in north Texas they call that a hickory burger. They make em w/ all kinds of toppings.

There are a few places here in Central Oklahoma (Johnnie's, Irma's) that serve what they call a 'Theta Burger', that is, a burger with hickory sauce, mayo, and pickles with shredded cheddar cheese. Are these an Okie invention? Anyone else ever had one? Even Sonic used to have one similar to this, but it's not on the menu anymore as they have gone more mainstream. They are pretty tasty, but I think the onion-burger is still king around here.
