Suggestion. Copy pic URL 1st. Second... Add brackets via menu (highlight your URL 1st). Easy as pie.

Works well 4 me.

Shelly is an insider..so she posted to the 'upload photo' page. She was having a problem getting her image to the post after the upload. This has happened to several members... You must be careful that when you copy and paste the url of the image from the photo page, that you get the entire URL including the brackets that surround the [img] and [/img] at the start and finish.

Shelly left off the first bracket and the last one, so the photo would not open when she pasted it her entry was img].....[/img Without the open and close the photo won't show. I fixed the entry.

No one has pointed out that getting photos into forums is - as far as \i know - different for Insider members vs. those of us too poor to pay up!!!

I used Flicker. In the message click on "insert image" then between the bracket-thingies paste the STATIC URL of the photo.

Works great.

I like using Imageshack ... the really good thing about a site like http://imageshack.us is that they give you a link to your photo that will post a smaller reasonable sized thumbnail copy of your photo to the Roadfood forum, with a link right next to it which can be clicked on to open a full, hi-res version in a separate window.

This avoids the problem where, when someone posts a large photo on a thread, it causes any text posts on the page to not "wrap" and you end up having to scroll right & left repeatedly to read the posts.

(btw: after uploading the image to Imageshack it's the link-version named "thumbnail for forums #1" that works on our forum)

on the upload page highlight the pix link, go to your post where you want the pix to be and paste it into the post.

then continue on with your post and hit submit reply.

Viola you have a pix posted.

you can hit the preview button to see what it lloks like before you post.

I use www.photobucket.com it’s free. After you upload the photo to the site different sorts of options appear below your photo. The last option is IMG Code which is the one you want. You simply left click once on the image code and a little box will pop up that says “copied”. Next go into your Roadfood post and right click to paste the image where you would like it.

FYI - When you hit paste what you will see is the image code, not a photo. The photos appear when you hit preview or post.

You are in the same situation that I used to be. Could not figure a thing out about it. Fortunately, if you work with John, you'll be a posting fool in no time. He was very helpful in getting me started.
What are you going to post? I hope it is of your set-up of the dog house with a few hot dog photos. I like a little relish please

I hit the upload tab on the top of the roadfood page. they uploaded but i do not know how to now get them to a forum page.
Any help would be appreciated.
