Something makes me think it was from the Fannie Farmer cookbook.  It may have been the same as the &amp;quot;raised&amp;quot; waffle recipe, which included yeast and proofed in the refrigerator overnight before being completed and cooked.   &lt;br&gt;  &lt;br&gt; I do recall they were fabuolous:  light, airy and crispy.   &lt;br&gt;  &lt;br&gt; Sassygrits, according to their website my nearest Waffle House is 311 miles away in Bethlehem, PA.
