Sounds interesting to say the least. I think I'm going to employ my best friend in this one and see of she will attempt it with me for our next game night :)
RE: PIZZA POT PIES (MiamiDon)

Ayersian went to Chicago Pizza and Oven Grinder and posted a review, which is the Restaurant of the Day today. I think the Pizza Pot Pie looks great!

RE: PIZZA POT PIES (jeepguy)

I'm sure they'll ship > www.chicagopizzaandovengrinder.com - for a price. But it is good!

RE: PIZZA POT PIES (Davydd)

I too saw the show last week and was intrigued by Giordano's Stuffed Pizza where they start out similar to a Chicago deep dish pizza but then top it with another layer of crust and then top that with the red sauce. So in Washington DC this week at 2 Amys Pizzeria they had a stuffed pizza on the menu. Our disappointment was it was nothing but a variation on a calzone. I guess it is not a universal term.

RE: PIZZA POT PIES (ann peeples)

I saw the same food show about the pizza pot pies and almost died and went to heaven.......

RE: PIZZA POT PIES (saps)

I was there (Chicago pizza and Oven Grinder) on Sunday (Dec. 23). It is located directly across the street from where the St. Valentine's Day massacre took place.

I like the pizza pot pies, but if you are a purist, you probably won't like it. I think their salad and poppy seed and creamy garlic dressings actually steal the show.

If anyone gets the chance to go, go at off-hours; the waits can be up to two hours long- and it's cash only, and not cheap.

RE: PIZZA POT PIES (TJ Jackson)

That link may well feature the very clip from TV you saw......

RE: PIZZA POT PIES (Michael Hoffman)

Why not take a short drive to Chicago?

http://www.findonlinetv.com/Video,item,282780196.aspx

RE: PIZZA POT PIES (Diceross)

Just hopeing there is a place in Philly, If i could order them from Chicago I would do that also!!

RE: PIZZA POT PIES (TJ Jackson)

I've only heard of one place - and it's in Chicago - to get this item

Did the TV program specifically mention that there is such a place in Philly, and you can't remember the name?
