Jjr, if anyone recommends Michelle's in Denver, run in the other direction. It's not a terrible restaurant, and it has a great candy counter, and they're supposed to be known for their ice cream concoctions, but really, the ice cream tastes like it has a wax base, and I don't what their whipped cream is really made of.

Liks on 13th in the Capital Hill neighborhood in Denver is my favorite - lots of choices and different combinations. I like Bonnie Brae too. I don't know about Colorado Springs though.

Either one really. I'm gonna geuss the good shops package their own ice cream and distribute to grocers locally.

In Denver, Bonnie Brae has an ice cream store, I think down on University. Best ice cream in the world. In the Bonnie Brae neighborhood (duh).

Boulder Ice Cream is available in retail locally, but I don't know how far that goes. I thought you could find it at places like Alfalfa's, or Whole Foods or Wild Oats. Not sure about that....

I looked, and searched, and ...nothing.

Have a friend and mid-west transplant who knows Greaters ice Cream (Cincinnati based) and is addicted to the stuff but is now based in Denver/ Colo Springs area.

Any help finding a Colorado based, high in butterfat yummy ice cream that makes everyone go all goo-goo for the stuff would be appreciated (even a link to a thread here on Roadfood would be great) :)
