There is a good BBQ place on rt 15. IN emittsburg , Its called Chubbys , Excellent pulled pork , Good brisket , Home made everything ,

My co-workers claim their pie is fabulous, but Argent claims that Baughers in Westminster is even better: http://www.baughers.com/

They have pick-your-own fruits and veggies from June 1 to November 30, and also sell Christmas Trees and produce. Their food is excellent, with fab homemmade pies. And cheap, cheap, cheap. Check the site for the menu. Two hotcakes with syrup and bacon, $3. Argent says they also do phenomenal homemade ice cream, and have a real soda fountain. The farm operation also has wagon rides and a petting zoo. Check it out!

Barbra Fritchie restaurant in Frederick, MD or Wolfie's Diner just south of Harrisburg in Dillsburg, PA are two excellent choices for breakfast for your next Harrisburg trip!

It's way too late for pauliep's trip, of course. (I'm reviving a thread from last March.) But there are a few nice places in the Frederick area. I've been to the Cozy, but it's been several decades. My memories of it are an all-you-can-stomach kind of place, and every time we drive by on 15, it's jammed.

If you're interested in a fabulous breakfast in the Frederick, Maryland, area, take Alt. 40 west from Frederick to the top of South Mountain. On the left side at the mountain top is the Old South Mountain Inn. It was a private home in the 19th century, and now serves the most fabulous breakfast buffet.

There's also a place in downtown Frederick called the Frederick Coffee Co., which has breakfast and fantastic coffee.

The area from Hagerstown or Frederick, to Harrisurg is kind of a culinary "no mans land"...Too far North for Southern Food, too far West for PA Dutch, and out of the Philadelphia/Pittsburgh area of influence. I don't know about breakfast, but I do know The Antrim House in Greencastle does a nice little buffet at lunch. There is (or was) a neat little breakfast place outside of the town of Waynesboro (near Hagerstown, Gettysburg and Frederick)..It was in a converted school house. It was there in 1998, I don't know if it still is in operation today. The Cozy in Thurmont is also a buffet operation. Once again, I'm not sure about breakfast. I usually stay away from "food troughs" but The Cozy was pretty decent. If you can stomach a chain food joint, I think Eat n' Park is fairly decent. There's one on the Carlise exit on I-81, as well as a Waffle House (spreading into Yankee Territory)

I know there is a Perkins next to the Days Inn on the outskirts of Gettysburg.
I just stayed at this Days Inn the first week in March- had great raspberry pie and breakfast at Perkins. One of the few places left with apricot syrup.

I am going to be traveling from Frederick, MD to Harrisburg, PA and I am looking for a place to eat a good breakfast along route 15 or I 81. Does anyone know of one that is convenient to get to from those roads?
