I agree as well. Nothing turns me off more than ordering and paying for a sub (or any kind of sandwich) and getting a couple of big fistfuls of lettuce. I don't mind a little here and there, but when it's at the point that it's all you can taste, it's too much.

It also makes me lose respect for whatever establishment serves it - I think of it as a cheap filler used so they can skimp on the meat and cheese.

If I want that much lettuce, I'll order salad.

i thought it was one of the old K-Mart deli cased plastic wrapped sandwiches from my youth.

Sometimes I like a little shredded lettuce on a burger if there is a sauce to it. It helps hold the sauce on the bun and not come out the sides of the burger. Normally, I have all stuff like that on the side and add it as I eat through dipping or a knife, so no lettuce.

There are definitely more than 2 slices of turkey on that sandwich, I can assure you. Chalk this one up to poor staging and poor photo taking on my part. One of my earlier posts and not my best snapshot to say the least.

I agree, not impressed by the pics, I see couple slices of turkey, two tomato slices and of course the lettuce.

To be completely honest about it, the subs look really crappy. Really cheap on everything except
lettuce, and that looks blah as well. The bread looks horrible. It looks like something out of 7-11's refrigerator case, only 7-11 gives you much more "meat". I'm glad somebody likes it, but the subs I go for are nothing like that one. For fun, look under the picture, read the ingredients and then see how many you can spot!

Right now, it says the place is worth an 80 mile drive to try their food. I have to disagree. I grew up in Syracuse, about 30 miles from Rome, I wouldn't leave Syracuse for that sub. It may be a decent sub, but an 80 mile drive? I don't think so - at least not from west of Rome.

I agree. Although I like lettuce I've learned to ask for "light" lettuce whenever lettuce is present.
