I can't see why the University's dining operations can't get some other vendor to produce a knock-off for them. After serving them for 26 years, there can't be any valid patents covering the production of the patties any more.

RE: RIP Penn State's Chicken Cosmo (JBarry713)

Brings back memories of my freshman year in Pollack Halls (2002-03). But even by then, the cosmo was't one of the favorites that we looked foward to for either lunch or dinner. Not a great product, but it does bring back good memories.

RE: RIP Penn State's Chicken Cosmo (CheeseWit)

I was there '74 to '78 and lived in East Halls in '74 and '75. One of the only edible foods during the 80's.
I don't think the students will really miss it. Campus food has improved tremendously. As the article pointed out, the alumni, however, are going to be highly disappointed when they return to campus in the Fall for football.

RIP Penn State's Chicken Cosmo (GeoNit)

http://live.psu.edu/story/29831?nw=5

http://forums.scout.com/mb.aspx?S=157&F=1395#s=157&f=1395&t=2301460
