(enginecapt)

Handel's have an excellent butter toffee... when they have it. Lucky for me the only Handel's in California is close to me.

Or maybe that's unlucky for me, waistline speaking.

http://www.handelsicecream.com/flavors/index.html
RE: butter brickle ice cream found! (mayor al)

HoJo's made/makes a great ButterCrunch. Out West the Thrifty drug Store Chain (now Rite-Aid) has/had English Toffee Ice cream in the stores that still have hand-dipped cone service.
Grater's here in the Ohio Valley make a wonderful TOFFEE CHIP icecream with Big pieces of Toffee candy in it.

Closer to you, in Eastern Tennessee, Mayfield Dairy has a ButterCrunch-like flavor on its list. Their dairy has a great tour and Ice cream parlor to visit not far off I-75 south of Knoxville.

butter brickle ice cream found! (kateyk12)

I have missed it for years. it isn't vanilla based ice cream. NO! it isn't really the ice cream in butter pecan. its toffie flavored ice cream with toffee bits in it.

I found it at a Friendlys restaurant. it is under the name of butter crunch there, but it is exactly what I remember.
http://www.friendlys.com/menu/dessert/
