This was my choice for the night. It was either that or Giordano's, and Angelo's won out by looking more local (like it's Downers Grove's best kept secret) and not being a multi-unit chain. Being in Chicagoland I decided to get a deep dish pizza and ate inside; I was the only person who ate in the dining area. (Plus, painted on the window was the fact it was carry out or delivery.) Their version of deep dish has cheese on top like the chains.

You also gotta love that parking garage that offers four hours free parking nearby!

When I lived in the Chicago area I was partial to[url='http://www.conniespizza.com/']Connie's[/url] for thick pizza and Aurelio's and [url='http://www.rosatispizza.com/']Rosati's[/url] for thin, although Rosati's has become a bit of a chain...

Nonnie's on 75th Street in Woodridge is very good and not far from Downers ...

I made my motel reservation today. I will be staying at the Extended Stay America at 3150 Finley Road (south of IL 56 and east of I-355). I am open to the surrounding area, including Lombard, which is just to the north.

Lots of poor chocies in the area you will visit. I prefer Lou Malnati in downtown Naperville. The old fire station that houses the restaurant is pretty neat. also, several places to visit after dinner as downtown Naperville has lots to offer.

I will be in the Downers Grove, Illinois, area June 12-15, specifically near Butterfield Road/IL 56. I would like some advice from the Chicagoland bunch as to the best pizza in this area, please!
