General Herkimer was in Drums Along The Mohawk---an old movie were the
English and the Indians were the bad guys. (You must remember that one
Brother Hoffman). Henry Fonda looks 16 or 17 in it.

Hoffman hot dogs are famous in CNY., They have ben aroound for over 100 years. They have their own restaurants ( I think 2) but are sold in all grocery stores. Many varities.

Nah, I've never had a Hoffman hotdog, and there's no chance of any relatives being involved. In fact, I never heard of that brand before coming on here.

I agree that looked like one real good burger. I saw something about the Herkimer diamonds on TV recently. It is some show where I young lady travels around looking for such places where one can get rich quick!

Have a burger, the strike it "rich" at the Herkimer Diamond Mine! I used to go there on field trips with school. Next time I'm in CNY visiting the family, I'll have to check out Frank & Burgy's! Thanks for the info! How far is the drive from Voss' BBQ in Yorkville?

Mr. Hoffman, Herkimer was named for General Nicholas Herkimer who fought in the Battle of Oriskany in 1777.

Four of us had lunch yesterday at this great eatery. The burgers were superb. Fries fine and the place was very clean. Very close to I-90. Johnny quite a character. Summers in Herkimer, winter in Trinadad.Highly recommend !

My preference is for no lettuce, raw onion, catusp or pickles on any hamburger or cheeseburger, and no pickle or catsup on any sandwich.
