Actually, I should have added eat what you want when hungry.
Drink what you want when thirsty. Go with the flow, don't try to swim upstream, which means don't let events you cannot control bother you.

Enjoy and observe nature as you can learn much from it. Observe animals, as like it or not you are one, being not mineral or vegetable. Avoid doctors, in my experience doctoring can lead to only one thing...more doctoring. Animals do not call on cell phones for doctoring when feeling ill...they settle down and trust nature to heal them. Most of them survive.

Actually, I do look thousands of years old. If you ever run across a painting of Lao Tsu, it would be a good likeness. Perhaps there is a reason I call myself the Grey Ghost.

RE: carb packed big breakfast diet (the ancient mariner)

By Jove Ghost you certainly don't look over 100 much less thousands.
How does that diet go again ?????

RE: carb packed big breakfast diet (ann peeples)

Greyghost-absolutely correct.had I done that as a younger adult...live and learn..

RE: carb packed big breakfast diet (Greyghost)

I subscribe to the Taoist Diet:

"Eat when you are hungry, sleep when you are tired."

Simple advice that has worked for thousands of years.

RE: carb packed big breakfast diet (ann peeples)

30 per day is phenomenal,Paul. But if I did that on the medication I am on,I would be hypo glycemic.Had I practiced what you do, I may not be diabetic today...

RE: carb packed big breakfast diet (Sundancer7)

I try to keep my carbs at about 30 per day. Too bad, I liked the idea.

I have always been a proponent of a big breakfast, small, or no
lunch and an early dinner. No eating between meals and the early
dinner to start shortly after the cocktail hour.

Since I never counted carbs (didn't even know they existed) or
calories, I just went along year after year doing the wrong thing.
I will have to tell the Doctor who asks what I do right what I
have been doing wrong all this time.

Since today is Saturday breakfast has few carbs---Bacon and
Eggs and homefries --------so I will have to make it up with my
Sunday special----homemade pancakes and either bacon or sausages and
lots of coffee. Then Monday back to the grind---Oatmeal, with a banana
cut up into it----coffee and corn bread. Can't wait until next weekend.

Diets come and diets go but never the twain shall meet.

RE: carb packed big breakfast diet (Sundancer7)

No carbs for me.
