However, these were not as chewy.

quote:

Was it a Chocolate Long Boy?

Hmmmmm....never of this and it doesn't look familiar. Help (Scorereader)

FYI - tootsie rolls come in varying lengths, including a foot or longer.
I'm not saying you had a tootsie roll, but, the length alone would not discount it as a possibility. The wrapping would've been different than the smaller ones, too.

RE: Cross between Tootsie Roll and Cow Tails? Help (ocpickle)

They did not have the middle filling like the cow tails.

They were cylindrical like tootosie rolls and were indiviually packaged. I rememer the wrapper was brown and they were like a foot long. They were probably shorter than that being I was young and everything was bigger :D.

RE: Cross between Tootsie Roll and Cow Tails? Help (jvsmom)

Do you remember where you got them? Did they have the filling in the middle like cow tails?

They sound kind of like those "Space Stick" things, but if I recall, they came in a box. I don't remember them being sold like a candy bar, but I could be wrong.

Cross between Tootsie Roll and Cow Tails? Help (ocpickle)

As a child in the late 70's I remember eating a candy similar to tootsie rolls. They were a cylindrical chocolate candy like tootsie rolls. However, they were longer and skinnier as I recall. They were not as chewy and the wrapping was more of a paper than a wax.

If you are thinking of Cowtails...no. Very similar but not quite.

This would have been in Colorado or California.

Thank you all in advance.
