I went to Cooper's BBQ in downtown Raleigh this afternoon. Cooper's has been serving Raleigh from this location since 1938. Rumors are that this building will be torn down soon for a nice new shiny one. That would be a shame.

It had been several years since I had been here. I'm happy to say the food was as good as I remembered. My only complaint was that the BBQ was chopped a little fine. I noticed that you could get coarse chopped or sliced for a quarter more. The ribs were fall off the bone tender.

The pork skins in with the hush puppies is a nice touch.
