Expensive, but pretty good.

RE: Fatburger gone from Pittsburgh area (WingLover)

Well, they are coming here to Plymouth Meeting, PA ...

One is scheduled to open at the Plymouth Meeting Mall sometime in '09.

--Jessica

RE: Fatburger gone from Pittsburgh area (Marty711)

Fatburger has struggled in many markets. Here in Cleveland, their locations are almost always empty. They lowered their prices here to try to drum up business. So far, I don't see much of a change.

RE: Fatburger gone from Pittsburgh area (Pat T Hat)

quote:

I'm really digging into my memory bank now, which is dangerous, but I believe they had a lot of financial shenanigans (as a lot of franchises have), were selling them to famous actors, athletes and such and stuck it to them somehow.

Willie Anderson, just recently released Cincinnati Bengal tackle, now Baltimore Raven is involved with Fatburger.
He's supposed to be opening at least one in the Cincinnati area.

RE: Fatburger gone from Pittsburgh area (rfox)

Yes, the Cranberry Fatburger is also closed. While it was disappointing only because there aren't a lot of places to grab a decent burger in that area, it really was never all that good.

RE: Fatburger gone from Pittsburgh area (kensandyeggo)

I'm really digging into my memory bank now, which is dangerous, but I believe they had a lot of financial shenanigans (as a lot of franchises have), were selling them to famous actors, athletes and such and stuck it to them somehow.

RE: Fatburger gone from Pittsburgh area (buffetbuster)

There was a location up here in Cranberry Twp. too, but I haven't noticed if they have closed or not. Sounds like they have. I was there, I think three times and that was enough for me.

RE: Fatburger gone from Pittsburgh area (tkitna)

I was just thinking about Fatburger in Robinson as i'm at work just down the road from it and I was reading a Steak-N-Shake thread earlier (Fatburger is much better than SnS). I didnt know they had closed.

Fatburger gone from Pittsburgh area (drpep)

Two weeks ago the Fatburger website listed two locations in the Pittsburgh area, been there for several years. This weekend I stopped by the Robinson Town Centre location and found it out of business. Checked the site tonite and saw the Fatburger locations in PA are gone. Anyone know what happened?
