The place is usually packed most of the time and once you step inside you'll feel like you're in a funny eccentric relative's warm and comfortable restaurant. Everyone is treated the same here and the Big Nick Burger is one of the best burgers you can find in Manhattan. Also excellent is their grilled chicken in a pita pocket.

RE: Big Nick's in Manhattan (TheClairvoyant)

I love Big Nick's. The burgers are quite good and very large. I've had a few other items there and enjoyed them as well. The staff have been very friendly every time I've been there.
RE: Big Nick's in Manhattan (David_NYC)

http://www.roadfood.com/forums/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=17511
http://www.roadfood.com/Forums/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=18389
http://www.roadfood.com/Forums/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=19051&whichpage=1
http://www.roadfood.com/Forums/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=23707
I used to get up to that area quite a bit in the early 80's. They used to have flyers written by an excellent PR guy (well, more accurately a good b------t artist) extolling the virtues of the place. I always considered it a roadside Greek diner that was somehow shoehorned into a couple of Manhattan storefronts. Visitors to NYC probably have never seen anything like it and marvel at the size of the menu. I have never thought their burgers or pizza were much different than from the average Manhattan Greek restaurant/coffee shop.

Big Nick's in Manhattan (acer2x)

What's the verdict on this place on the west side of Manhattan?

http://bignicksnyc.com/
