The only thing I am leary of is that you might taste another coffee from the tube that delivers yours. Other than that I like Rube Goldberg. I could watch for hours.

Here's a novelty, and quite good. A new coffee shop (ala Starbucks, much better) just opened on Greenwich Ave & 7th Ave. I believe they have a shop on Orchard, LES, too.

Very "hip" with pillowed benches along the walls and built in plugs under the seat for computers, ipods, etc. Only a few tables-for-two, mostly for "single sippers."

The concept is, you order a cup, and thru all sorts of tubes and levers, coffee beans come from "overhead" into a grinder, one cups worth, and are ground and brewed "just for you." Yes, thats a fresh cup.

I thought it was gimmicky (it is, Rube Goldberg) but it was delicious, too!! Nice, dark, rich!
The new owner was there and gave him Compliments to the Chef (Grinder). I'll be back.
