Mark, the POI's are updated on a weekly basis.

Are locations updated as well? I have found that using street addresses in rural areas to be iffy. For instance, I was in New Mexico last week and I found that Roadfood's POI info for Sugar's was about 1 mile off and for Bobcat Bite was 4.1 miles off.

Coordinates that I recorded on a Garmin 350 for each in case anyone wants to use them:
Sugar's: 36 12.501N 105 57.330W
Bobcat Bite: 35 34.939N 105 53.834W

They line up fairly well when loaded into Google Earth.

I am new to GPS, just bought my first Garmin nuvi 255w today and was wondering, are the POI files updated regularly, and how do I know when there are updates? I can't wait to hit the road with a guided map of the best places to eat. No more looking for all the trucks or police cars in the parking lots of restaurants to know where the best food is in unknown territory.

On a side note, this website rocks. I don't really like forums but I love the passion and honesty that I get from reading the reviews and other assorted posts here. I haven't been steered wrong yet.
