Some of the posters on a Gator sportslist that I'm a member of really love 4 rivers. I haven't been there myself.

In the Greater Orlando, Florida area my favorite is for the best Orlando BBQ Restaurant! Recently, 4Rivers opened their 3rd location in Longwood, Florida to accompany the Winter Park, Florida and Winter Garden locations. I love the tri-tip steak and my friend usually goes for the brisket or pulled pork, but heck it is all good. The smokehouse style meats are really tasty, but where does it for me is the delicious side items such as cheese grits, cornbread, and fried pickles. Check out the there some of these specialties are difficult to find in the Orlando area.

I have never found any in my 3 year search. Best I found so far along the corridor of I-4 from Tampa to Daytona was a place in Auburndale, Peebles. Old School BBQ joint and closed in late summer , no air conditioning. 2nd choice would be Graingers in Lakeland imho.

Four Rivers has great Bar-B-Q (two locations - Winter Park and Winter Garden) - Jack's Bar-B-Q in Mineola is fantastic as well!

Any BBQ restaurants in Orlando that you would consider GREAT?

In short, no.

Heck, someone asked only for GOOD (as opposed to GREAT) BBQ a while back, and found limited response.

I would rate no BBQ better than GOOD, but I am a fan of Bubbalou's Bodacious BBQ (I am partial to the location on Lee Rd), Oboy's (near the Orlando arena), and Wildside BBQ (Thornton Park area).

In a recent article (2009 Orlando Sentinel Foodie Award Winner), the Sentinel's editor chose Blackwater BBQ as best. I now have this at the top of my list to try in Orlando next time I get the opportunity.
