Thanks for the heads up on the bridge tavern, i know where that is, will keep it in mind.

i actually went to penn college it was called williamsport area community college at the time (1968). Use to live on Cheese steaks at that time.

can't seam to think of the other place your thinking about, maybe it will come to mind of course that's 40 yrs ago.

The Bridge Tavern in South Williamsport (right at the end of the bridge) is known for their cheese steaks. There used to be a place right by what is now Penn College (orginally the old High school building) don't know if its still there.

Those are the 2 that come to mind.

Thanks all again for your welcomes etc.

I just got home from Danville Pa, had a cheese steak in the garden at the Danville Sub Shop.
A place I've went to for 30 or 40 years on and off.
Not a bad sandwich (maybe a little bit above average).

It's a 15 mile drive one way just for a cheese steak, but when your hungry for something you know how it goes.

Don't they have some pretty good subs up your way ? I know Old Forge is known for their pizza.
That' kinda in your neighborhood isn't it ?

I have been working in Williamsport for a few weeks every year. To be honest, I have yet to find a road food type place that I would call special. Especially for breakfast.

I tried hoagies from Joe's Pizza. They were good.

So like you, I am looking forward to more answers.

I lived in both williamsport and montoursville 40 yrs ago, and had many great subs there.

Moved away and want to go back to the area, just wanted some tips.

As grouchy as people are getting about "correctness" in posting, how is that there are 2 almost identical posts by the same person.

Im sorry about how that sounded. I didnt mean to jump on you. I was just stating about with the way posts are getting moved and how people are getting jumped for posting a similar thread or asking a question thats been asked before.
