(quijote)
When I lived in Alabama all of the local grocery stores sold "fresh" (not frozen) pre-made pancakes in a bucket, ready for reheating in a pan. I guess it's convenient for some people, but there's nothing like pancakes made from scratch, and it doesn't take much time at all.

Re:Pancakes in a Can ??? (food4u)

What an... interesting? idea. I just don't understand some of these so-called convenience foods. Speaking of odd foods in a can, I just ran across a link to a WHOLE chicken in a can (yes, like a rotisserie chicken, covered in some sort of broth, stuffed into a large can). Here's a link if anyone wants to check it out:

http://ihatemymessageboard.com/2009/04/23/a-whole-chicken-in-a-can/

Why would you need pancakes or a chicken in a can? Why do people assume that canned food is easier to make than the real thing?
Re:Pancakes in a Can ??? (boyardee65)

Just about the stupidest thing I have ever seen. It's not like we have unlimited

space in our land fills for frivolous crap like this. The shaker pancakes

packaged in the plastic jug is likewise stupid. How lazy do the American

people have to be where they don't have time to put a few ingredients into

bowl and mix? I personally buy pancake mix in bulk from a warehouse

store. I can get about 200 cakes out of the package and there is not much

packaging to be thrown away. Just a plastic zip bag that can be recycled.

Just my humble opinion.

David O.

Re:Pancakes in a Can ???
