My Pe Paw.. Grandfather for all those that don't speak N.C. loved them. I would make a trip to pick up a bunch .When he got older and stopped driving. I would get a sack full , and we would sit on the porch and enjoy them with a glass of milk.. I eat one now and think of Pe Paw and the smile on his face. Good times.

Mallo Cups were my favorite as a Kid. They have been outdone by the PECAN form of the GOO-GOO CLUSTER now at the top of my candy-bar list when we are near a Stuckey's on the road. Costco does a Macademia Nut Turtle packaged in 2 lb 'jars' that are much easier to handle and a better buy...So they are about the only candy we have in the house right now.

Very easy to find Mallo Cups and Smoothies in Pittsburgh and Western Pennsylvania, as they are still made in Altoona, PA.

I bought a ten pack the other day at the grocery store for $1.29, on sale.

I too love Mallo Cups. Last Halloween I found my holy grail of candy - 30-packs of individual Mallo Cups at the Giant Eagle. After Halloween they put them on sale 50% off - $1.99 for 30 Mallo Cups. Also, you can find Valomilk cups and many other nostalgic and regional candy favorites at Five Below stores in the Mid-Atlantic states.

You can still find Mallo Cups at some gas stations in Upstate SC. They're not the first candy I reach for, but they are good.

I, too, am a Mallo Cup Lover, and it was a ritual to
save up the coins to get the free box. Loved those
dollar coins.
They are still sold in stores in my area. I love to
put them in the fridge to chill.

When I was about 10, I saved up enough of the coins to send in for the free box of Mallo Cups. I never believed that I would actually get them; about a month later, when they came, it was like Halloween in July!

Here in the Piedmont of NC we can find Mallo Cups at most convenience stores. Remember saving the points for a free box of Mallow cups? My husband collected them whrn he was a child and was not at home when the box of free candy arrived. His cousins who lived next door got them out of the mailbox and ate them. They were not his favorite cousins after that

When I was little my all time favorite candy bars were Mallo Cup and Smoothies. Anytime I happened into enough money to buy one ( not very often ), down the alley to the Hobby Shop I went. They both came with the cardboard coins you could save up to get free candy or other items. I saved those for a long time until I had enough for a whole box of Mallo Cups. Talk about anxiously waiting on the mailman! When they finally came my two brothers, two sisters and I thought we were rich! They are still my favorites, maybe because they are such a great food memory for me.
