Your market may not have discontinued these. For some reason most stores stock these with the ice cream toppings, usually near the ice cream, rather than with the cookies.

That's where the Publix chain keeps them. Stupid me...I was searching in the cookie aisle & then the baking supplies section. Finally I asked customers service & was directed to the ice cream toppings. I still don't get the logic of it, but it's worth the search for that cake!

What was the exact name of those thin, round chocolate cookies which were so convenient for making a chocolate cookie crust?
They were a major brand, I believe.
Don't know if they've been discontinued or if our local grocery store has simply discontinued them.
HEB upgraded and drove all the other chains out of town, then started closing check-out lanes, dropping items and brands right and left, sometimes for its own which aren't necessarily as good.
For some reason, it also annoys me to see items stacked on shelves while still in the shipping boxes.
There are so many things I miss ....
Has this happened anywhere else?
