At home, I eat them regularly; my favorite is a Hebrew National 4/1. Yesterday, I purchased these 5/1 "gourmet" dogs and, even at 7.50 per pound (1.50 each), they are my new favorite. Find me a place that serves these (perhaps in Texas) and they will get my vote for America's Best Hot Dog joint. pb

Re:America's Best Hot Dogs........again (jonsull)

  in June
Re:America's Best Hot Dogs........again (jonsull)

I'm making a trip to Philly (mostly a cheesesteak run) but Rutt's Hut is definitely on the itinerary...........
Re:America's Best Hot Dogs........again (ayersian)

For the first time in a very long time, here's a list that I actually agree with. Ken8038 is right: it does seem like the guy's visited these places...even though he admits to being a science and medical writer. The kid's missing his calling! Chris
Re:America's Best Hot Dogs........again (MellowRoast)

  Excellent article!

Re:America's Best Hot Dogs........again (ken8038)

At least it sounds like he's actually BEEN to these places.
