Blue Ribbon BBQ is the best BBQ in the Boston area. I live about 5 minutes away and go at least once a week. Pro tip: Order off the rotating daily specials chalkboard.

nctomass, I swear that I hadn't seen this post of yours before I PMed you about this place! Obviously it's that innate Carolina brainwave that we share...

This spot is definitely on our review list. We've been three times, and they also run a catering business that must be unbelievable. If you find better 'Q in the Boston area, let me know -- but I doubt you will.

Today, I needed a dose of BBQ...something smoked, because, well, I don't live in the south anymore.

I headed up Mass Ave. out of Cambridge into Arlington and stopped at Blue Ribbon BBQ. I ordered the Texas Beef Brisket Sandwich. It was heaven on a bun...and NOT shy on the brisket. The meat was extremely tender and plentiful. It was served as I say "nekked" with no sauce...but it truly didn't need any.
