Local convenience store by me has Orange Crush, diet Orange, strawberry, peach, grape and pineapple in the 20oz bottle

I tried the Strawberry Crush last night and it's not too bad. They were on sale, a 6 pack in the glass bottles for $2.50. Had 2 while eating a chicken burrito. Yum yum.

I stopped by a local convience store ( a chain ) and low and behold they had Faygo Black Cherry in the cooler. I was blown away by the fact it didn't have that nasty fake cherry aftertaste. Next to Fanta Cherry it may be the best cherry soda I have tried. I do like Cheerwine as well but it may have got bumped down to #3 on my list.

Check Walgreens or one of the other chain drug stores. I recall seeing them in one of them. There also Jelly Belly jelly beans with those flavors plus A&W Root Beer and Creme Soda. Also freeze pops. I saw Dr Pepper Cherry, Crush and one other flavor packaged as ice cream toppings.

I have found hard candies with the 7-UP, DR.Pepper, and Orange Crush flavors with their respective logos on each candy. They are mostly true to flavor but much more intense in flavor. I love them and beg my bus girl for them, as she gets them from one of our regular customers. I don't know who she gets them from but I WILL find out. LOL Today I traded her a half gallon sized zip top bag of my home made chili for about four candies. It was worth it!!!

Jump off topic growing up in CT we always see a major influx of C & C brand first the cola then about 20 flavors. The end displays be filled with C & C. Guess they gave it away. Then in a few weeks shelves empty and dreaded Coke and Pepsi take there space.

speechpeach I'm not a big fan of Fanta Grape, just something about the aftertaste. I do love the Fanta Cherry though. I am thankful though for the Hispanic population we have here as I see all kinds of things I didn't see 10 years ago.

No one likes Fanta grape soda? Wonder if there are any all natural grape sodas, the blue foam on top of some of them after pouring is a bit bizarre.....

I bought a Faygo Grape Soda recently... I recall liking it many years ago. I don't know which has changed...my tastes, or the formua for the soda, but I definitely will not buy another. I still like Faygo Redpop as an alternate to other sodas, but the Faygo Grape is pretty poor !

You're right about it being Xtra now. I mainly find it at restaurants around here.

My favourite grape soda was always Welch's. But Orange Crush was THE orange soda. My mom always bought me one out of the machine after swim lessons at teh local college. I love a good grape or orange soda to this day.

I am actually a fan of Mr. Pibb. It is hard to find in my area so I drink Dr. Pepper and will get a taste for it that lasts a few weeks before trailing off. I lost my taste for Dr. Pepper after reading what flavors are possibly in it. As I said, I do prefer Mr. Pibb.

I would not say Pepsi "allowed" the Canada Dry/ RC distributor to have Crush, the RC dist more than likely had the Crush franchise for the area and the local Pepsi is stuck with Sunkist. Did Pepsi a have Tropicana Orange and Grape after Slice? Farther west from you in NY Pepsi has Crush and the RC distributor has Sunkist. Up in the Rochester area Crush and Sunkist were distributed by the same company. Not sure if that is the same today.
Not long ago, 80's early 90's, in my area Pepsi had Slice and Coke carried Sunkist.,

Crush is/was owned by Dr Pepper/7UP, and basically what happened was that Pepsi's Slice flavor lines** were getting their keisters kicked by Coke's Fanta line, so a couple of the largest Pepsi bottling groups 'bought' Crush from Dr P, and used it to replace the Slice flavors....except here in NY, where the Pepsi bottler is still distributing Sunkist as their orange soda. So one suspects around here, Pepsi 'allowed' the Canada Dry/RC distributor to have Crush.

The soda pop business is very weird - Example no 2: Around here is maybe the only place where you will find Dr Pepper alongside both Pepsi AND Coke in restaurants. The reason? In the old days, Dr Pepper was always a spotty seller in the NY market, and actually was withdrawn from New York in the 50s and 60s - growing up in the 60s, I had never tasted Dr P, until I visited relatives out in Kansas in 1966. Then around 1969, the Coca Cola Bottling Company of NY wanted to bring Dr P back to NY in a BIG way - only to find out that Pepsi still had the fountain rights to Dr P, but not the retail disribution rights. Dr Pepper was VERY anxious to get Dr Pepper back into NY, as Coca Cola NY was planning to push the good Dr big time, so Dr P renegotiated the Pepsi deal, so that both companies would have fountain rights in the NY area.... The really odd thing is the rest of the Coca Cola world tried going AFTER Dr Pepper big time with that horrible Mr Pibb...and tried...and tried.....

** There is NOTHING worse than Slice orange.....

I carried the newspaper for several years when I was in grade school. I did six miles every day of the week on my trusty Schwinn. I made $3.00 a week. That was about 55 years ago.

They left my papers at a country store and before I began my route, I always treated my self to a small cup of ice cream and a Grapette or Orange Crust with the vanilla.

Thumbs Up is a Coke product that is from India. Pepsi does not own Crush, they just distribute it in most of the USA now.

Well that explains it. The store I was at is owned by people from India, as are most of our stores here.

Coney, we have Hires RB around here from time to time. As for Fanta, their Cherry soda is my favorite Cherry soda. I usually find it at the fountain dis. at one of our local stores.

We have one family owned store that sells, all 3 "Crush" flavors so we mix em'. Anybody ever heard of "Thumbs Up"? I just caught a glance of it at a convenience store. Oh and we have the same 3 "Crush" flavors and pineapple in "Fanta".

Orange Crush disappeared from around here a long time ago - but suddenly, about 4 months ago, the distributor of Canada Dry, 7up, etc started putting it back on the shelves!!! I LOVE Orange Crush, and have not looked back since. There is no Grape, but when in the Scranton Wegmans stocking up on hot dogs, I noticed they had Grape Crush, and I picked up a 2L bottle. THIS distributor does it VERY well - best tasting grape I have had in many, many moons.

now...if someone would bring Hires Root Beer back.....

NOTHING beats Orange Crush when it is ice cold.....

I still think about the last time I drank a Strawberry Crush. I know that it was years ago, and I know that it was in the South, definitely. It just seems like it was much further back than the 80s that I drank this wonderful soda that sticks in my brain to this day. And I'm not a soda drinker, so that's saying a lot!

Have they come back out with pineapple crush? I have been trying to find it for my father-in-law. He fell in love with it in the 90's and now can no longer find it, but that does not stop him from talking about it all the time.

Cherry Crush, I would like to have tried that one. Back in the 70's it was hard to find a fruit flavored soda that was better than Crush... I bet it was good.
