I've heard portland lobster company is good but it makes me nervous that it's on commercial street, the tourist center.

OK, so this is both a two year late response and to a, well, er...less than active poster but I thought this the best place to post last month's great review of the Portland Lobster Company in the Portland (Maine) Press Herald:

"Portland Lobster Co. is awesome."

I'm looking for the best fried clams in portland, maine. doesn't have to be fancy. I've heard portland lobster company is good but it makes me nervous that it's on commercial street, the tourist center. I'm more familiar with the Brunswick/Harpswell area so any suggestions for Great Portland would be appreciated.
