(Williamsburger)

I'm not sure if the original poster will ever see this -

If you are coming down 301 from Annapolis, your best bet is to stop at
Johnny's Ribs south of La Plata and bring your friend some of the best
ribs on the planet. The only place to eat in Port ROyal is Horne's and I don't know if they do take out. Or if you'd want to eat there. I haven't been there in years.

There is part of the Rappahanock River National Wildlife Refugee in Port Royal off CAroline St. Follow the brown signs for the Virginia Birding and Wildlife Trail.
I doubt they have picnic tables or any other facilities.
Outdoor dining in Port Royal, VA? (Iridal)

Hi! I'm trying to find a place in Port Royal, VA, not far from the 301/17 intersection where I can eat outdoors. I'm meeting somebody there and I'm traveling with pets, so I need to be able to keep them nearby and cool - can't lock them in the car. Any suggestions? I'm also open to getting takeout somewhere and going to a picnic area, if there's one available.

Thanks!
