(David_NYC)

 Yup. Digging around, I found data on the ones they sold in small boxes in groceries:
stock number:
77392-0001
 inner upc: 0 11125 77392 2
outer upc: 0 11125 77392 2
size: N/A
description: 24/40CT 7.75IN FLEX STRW BOX
material: PLASTIC
design color: RED AND BLUE STRIPE
effectivity:
product line: STRAWS AND CUTLERY
package dimensions: depth - 0.875
width - 3.75
height - 8.25

They also made them in a straight variety:

stock number:
77282-0001
 inner upc: 0 11125 77282 6
outer upc: 0 11125 77282 6
size: N/A
description: 24/50CT 8IN STRAIGHT STRW BX
material: PLASTIC
design color: RED AND BLUE STRIPE
effectivity:
product line: STRAWS AND CUTLERY
package dimensions: depth - 0.875
width - 3.75
height - 8.25

Solo's trademark registration for Carnival expired in 2005. Brand name used since 1952. Solo still seems to offer straws as part of their Sesame Street cups/lid/straw packages. Solo's foodservice catalog has about 3 pages of listings for straws. Solo also sold a lot of straws in plastic bags under their own name, but I have not seen those lately, either.

Somewhere in NJ there has to be a bodega or mom-and-pop grocery that still has boxes of those straws faded by the sun.

Re:Anybody know what happened to Carnival Straws? From their history page:
"1998- Solo acquires Clear Shield National and expands into straws and disposable cutlery."
1-877-SOLO-NOW.

Anybody know what happened to Carnival Straws? (bartl)

 I've been using Carnival Straws for decades. Suddenly, last month, they seem to have completely disappeared from the stores. No sign of them on the web, either. And, of course, I never bothered to save my box, so I can't read the corporate info, there.

Anybody know what's going on with them?

Bart
