(MikeinRI)

That'sMyDawg

Hello all,

I have been wanting to mention this for months now but it always slipped my mind so I figured I would do it while I remembered. I was wondering if anyone else on a cart notices or noticed before just how many people break their neck trying to get a look at YOU as they ride past? I see people looking at the cart all the time, that's normal. bright colors, food pics and just the overall "hmmmm' factor that goes along with seeing a cart out at work. But what was surprising to me and still is btw is the number of people who want to see you the operator. I see them turning their necks trying to see me as they ride by. As I noticed this more and more I started doing a test to confirm if they were just looking at another view of the cart or if they were trying to see me. I started wiping down the cart and as a car on the road way is going past I would continue wiping around to the opposite side making them have to look in a certain direction if they were trying to see me rather than the unit.

Sure enough, time, after time people were turning their heads to try to see me as I cleaned one side or another, cleaned a bottom part or just tinkered with cords, etc. They would lean and stretch to see me over and over. When I stand in the working postion of the cart they will look and make direct eye contact with me ever time they ride past. I tried the test a few times before I concluded they just want to see who is working a hot dawg stand. Nothing bad about it at all, just something I noticed. After so many people were looking I just started waving at them lol.

Just one of the little things you notice (well I do) when your out working. I guess it's possible I could be really good looking lol.

I get looks all the time. Some appear to be "gee, look at that guy, I wish I'd have thought of that". Others seem to be, "look at that loser. I hope he's got a pension coming in". lololol
Maybe they just can't look away from the devilishly handsome hot dog guy.
Re:Cart doggers, do you ever notice how many people want to see you while working?
