This was a case where I drove by so fast that I did not stop, but hoped that another cool local place would come up the road. My road turned into a dead-end and you cannot believe how happy I was to have to turn around and head completely back.
Bam's has the look from the outside with only pick-up trucks in the lot. A sign like this is a true "C'mon. " for most anybody.

I went inside what was essentially a sheet metal roofed A-frame over wooden picnic tables. I walk up to the counter and place my order. I had a combination of popular desires, a burger, stuffed with cheddar cheese, combined with Hatch chilies, and to top it off, bacon....

It arrived on a fresh made whole wheat bun. It was quite good as healthy buns go. It was a hefty burger and I had to wait for a while for it to cook. It was very, very good, but not overly cheesy. It was very flavorful, the taste stayed with me hours after eating it.
The battered onion rings were cooked perfect, maybe house made.
Here is a link:
http://bamsroadhousegrill.com/

mark
