Davydd ... Thanks. I found one or two new ones on that list. I'd sure like an RF app. As others have stated the mobile page doesn't have the use of ease of an actual app.

Urbanspoon is pretty good and seems to have a complete and uptodate database. It seems to be the best in my area where I am very familiar with the restaurants.

AroundMe is good when you are in unfamiliar territory and want a fast find.

I like Yelp but its database is nowhere as complete and uptodate as Urbanspoon at least in my area.

Zillow is a good real estate app.

BigOven has 170,000 recipes.

The apps I use the most are:

I'm still evaluating many tracking/walking/hiking GPS apps to try and settle in on what I would like to use. As for auto GPS I think I prefer just using my Garmin Nuvi.

Before I climb out of bed in the morning I'll check e-mail, Facebook, Twitter, weather, and all the news apps.

I've done some book reading with the iPhone but am really holding off on choosing a dedicated ebook reader until Apple exposes its hand.

There are a lot of mobile internet versions of many sites but the most disappointing aspect is none of the forums I use have a mobile version for reading online easily. That's why I spend more time on Facebook when I only have my iPhone available.

I'm not into texting much. I did not pay the extra charge for unlimited texting. A friend started texting to me last week and I got sucked in. I asked why didn't he just call me. He was sitting in a seminar and couldn't.

I often forget the iPhone is also a cell phone and an iPod.

Yes.

I've got the app, but can't seem to login ... there GPS-based restaurant finder has much potential, but suffers from a lack of reviews.

RF would rock with an i-phone app to go with the Insiders package.

for news, you could do twitter and follow any of the outlets you like. twitterrific is a free app.

urbanspoon for me. but it's only as good as the participation in the area you're in. oklahoma city is very active with lots of votes and reviews, and pretty much every restaurant is listed.

they also have a "shake" option. kind of like a slot machine based on area, type of food and price.

For restaurant locating, I've been using UrbanSpoon. It's nice, but not filling me with delight.

For non-food apps:
I use Wikipanion all the time.
I use Shazam rarely, but it delights me when it recognizes a song that I don't know.

Try Wikihood.

I got my iPhone and an very impressed with it.

The GPS feature makes finding restaurants that are nearby pretty easy ...

I've found:

AroundMe ... accurate, but no reviews
Yelp and TellMeWhere ... have reviews but they are sparse
AAA ... useless

I've looked at LocalEats, but haven't sprung for the 99 cents in that it only does major cities ... I'm sure I will though.

I wish there was an RF app ... The mobile RF page has never worked for me ...

I'm looking for a super comprehensive real estate listing site (the GPS makes that very powerful ... Of NearBuy and Truila, NearBuy is better, but is not close to carrying 100% of listings.

AP might be my favorite news site, but I'd love a superb news aggregator.

Anyone have any faves ???
