My wife loves the Queen city cayenne and I've had a taste or two and enjoyed it but I did not care for the Bangkok peanut. I'm not sure why, there was just an odd flavor in there that I didn't like. Sounds simple but the best one I have tried recently was the coffee flavor. The tag says it tastes like coffee smells and it really does. My other recent discovery is the ice cream sandwiches. I don't know why it took so long for me to try those but they are fantastic.

I was at the North Market earlier and stopped by Jeni's. Hard to believe that I've been at Nationwide Arena literally hundreds of times and have never gone to the place that combines two of my favorite things....ice cream and weird combinations.

I sampled the Bangkok peanut and Queen City cayenne (both of which were excellent), but went for a waffle cone with a Riesling Poached Pear sorbet. In addition to outstanding flavor, it even had the texture of a fresh pear. I'm fairly certain this is the only time in my life that I've bought ice cream and then walked into snow falling outside.

Don't forget that Jeni's ships their ice cream anywhere in the US. My favorite is the Bourbon Pecan, I will say that I don't purchase Jeni's ice cream much, I have a hard time paying $8-10 for one single pint. I too get the whole artisanal, organic, sustainable, community thing but.....damn, that's a lot of $ for 2 cups of ice-cream.

I haven't loved everything I have eaten at Jeni's, but what I had this past Sunday at the North Market location was exceptional. All three flavors of my trio were well above average, but the seasonal Dark Chocolate Peppermint may very well have been the best ice cream I have ever had. Still kicking myself for not bringing any home with me.

I feel like I must be the only person who really doesn't care for Jeni's. I get the whole artisanal flavors and unique combinations but whenever I am done I am always feeling unsatisfied. Like I should have gotten more for my money than just a few miserly scoops.

Don't get me wrong I think the flavor of the Salted Caramel is very good but I can't say that it quite makes me want to make a trip out of my way to get some whenever I am in CBus or justifies the cost.

i love jeni's. for me, it's the best ice cream i've ever had. they have as one of their seasonal offerings a brown butter almond brittle that is not to be missed. i'm currently away from my warm florida home and in the chilly ohio winter instead, and jeni's makes life more bearable

My girlfriend and I are also big fans of Jeni's, although on my last visit, I found a couple of the flavors too intense. We may be there tomorrrow!

I looooove Jeni's. We (ralphmelton and I - I am his wife) go everytime we're in Columbus. I think the lavender wildberry is my favorite.

Actually, there is lots of great food in the North Market in Columbus.

I went to Jeni's on June 28, 2008, and it was sublime.

I got two scoops: the bourbon butter pecan was splendid with plenty of rich bourbon flavor, and the cherry lambic sorbet was a perfect cool tart refresher for the warm humid day. Lori also loved her lavender wildberry, mango lassi, and dark chocolate ice creams.

I think Jeni's is well worth the attention of ice-cream-loving Roadfooders.

Jeni's puts out a truly exceptional product.

They give out 'tastes' with the tiny spoons, and it's torture trying to figure out which one, or two, to order!

I make it a point to stop by each time I'm in Columbus.
