It's been three years since I've visited them, but G&G provided great beef, although at a premium price. The serving portions were sinfully huge, and the meal was very good. I will say, though, that the overall attitude of the service staff was less than satisfactory. I got the feeling that since I wasn't a weekly regular, I didn't matter quite so much.

Unfortunate, as the food itself was wonderful.

I haven't been to G & G's in a couple of years but it would be a shame if it has gone downhill. I've been going there on and off for about 30 years.

I was there recently, but I didn't have steak (I had just had two Italian beef lunches). The steaks sure looked though.

Being an 'old-geezer' with my last major steakhouse stop in Chicago dating back a couple of years, I will still stand by my enjoyment of Carson's on North Wells for either a great Steak or some really messy ribs. Not part of todays high-pressure Steakhouses this old-time landmark has never treated me wrong.

I've been to the Gibson's steakhouse on Rush street and the one in Rosemont and both have been very good.

Lots of bad reviews online recently. Anyone been there lately? Any recommendations for another Chicago steakhouse?
