Holiday Hot Dog Meet will be at Coney Island Restaurant in Middletown NY on Wed. Dec 29th , 2010 , as per John Fox advising that on this date that week he is off .
1 pm . All are invited .
The Benzee family of four will be in attendance
Coney Island Lou who can practicvally fall out of bed and land in the parking lot I'm sure in in .
and John Fox who we will verify ,

We will be looking to put together another luncheon in the spring/ summer at Coney Island .

It was fun to be back here again where Roadfood all started for me. It was just a few years ago with Benzee, Coney Island Lou, and seafarer john -- on a hot June day:

Glad you all had a good time. Sorry I couldn't join you. Some of us have to work, and I'm not off until the weekend. I called, but didn't have good reception. I tried unsuccessfully to convince Lou and Screenbear that they were jealous that I got to be in the great outdoors while you all were cooped up inside eating hot dogs. I don't think they were buying that.

I'm looking forward to the pictures. Next year my day off is Wednesday, Dec. 29th. Hopefully you can schedule the Meet on that day.

Hope to see most of you in March. I'm scheduling some vacation time so that I can attend.

I had a great time and it was nice seeing everyone again, most since the 2006 NJ tour. The food was great as usual. It's great to see others joining in and showing interest.

Screenbear and I did meet up at Pete's for some more Roadfood before our ventures home, I north, he south...

Just returned home from a Fantastic !!! Holiday Hot Dog Meet at Coney Island Restaurant in Middletown NY .
Final count was 16 attendees

Times Herald Record columnist Amy Berkowitz was unable to join us at the last minute due to work but hopes she can make the next one
Eric Bressi " Elvis Lost Brother " may be joining us on a future tour as well

The friendships we share every holiday for a few hours are very precious to Sandy and I . Thanks to this fine website we may never had met any of our friends here .

Most followed Lous " hometown lead" and went with the two coney dog platter and it looked very popular to those that had it .

Screenbear in the absence of John Fox gave a description of the dogs we were about to enjoy , he did us proud !!

Brooklyn Bill had just recently returned from Guam of all places and Skip gave us some insights of how they serve the dogs or wursts in some far away locales in Europe . Very interesting Skip

Seafarer John and Gail looked great as always , it is a pleasure to beak bread with this legendary roadfooder

Matt Gleason has put together our Hot Dog Nation Facebook group and pics will be posted on there . Always a pleasure to see the Hot Dog King and enjoy some great conversation

Bossa Nova and Michelle traveled over 100 miles asn Screenbear as well to join us for the day .
They are definetly looking forward to the south jersey get together in March that John Sagi has put together and hopefully we can join in
And Screenbear was headed to Petes in Newburgh for another dog and Matt may have been joining him also .
My good friend Larry Bennet stopped up as well , and enjoyed the dogs . He will be signing up for roadfood as well , ahhhh to pick a screename

All in all a wonderful day with fellow roadfooders .

We will be having another Holiday get together on Tues Dec 29th at the famous Coney Island Restaurant in Middletown NY @ 1 pm
This is becoming an annual event that was started back in 2006 , nd we usually throw in another during the yr.

Coney Island is known for its chili dogs and is rated at the top of the list by our own Hot Dog expert John Fox .
This is Lous hometown stop and we hope everyone can join us .

We usually get between 15 to 20 and Jaime the owner is a great host , and seems to genuinely enjoy the day with us .
