I was planning to correct you folks on the name of the song since I always remembered it as "Floozie" instead of "Floogie", so I looked it up to make sure I was remembering it right.

According to Wikipedia, "The original song (a 1938 jazz song, originally written and performed by Slim Gaillard) was called "Flat Foot Floozie", with the 'floy-floy' being slang for a venereal disease. The word 'floozie' was changed into 'floogie' to allow it be to played on the radio." I guess we were all correct, but I was just remembering the original version.

And I guess "flat feet" is pretty much an occupational hazard; much like a beat cop.

Since a ploye is a buckwheat crepe, Blini Weinie -- or maybe Bleenee Weenee -- would be a good name for this if the people in Aroostook County decide to start a franchise!

OK, that looks a lot like a pocketless pita slice to me. Also, I used to go to a gyro shop and have chicken salad sandwiches on one of those. So, I'm guessing "Gyro-dog".

I have had hot-dogs like this ...some where in the south Pacific... cant remember what island ... it might have been in New Zealand close?

I called my gal Linda to take a look at this hot-dog and ask if this was the kind we had in New Zealand ....with out skipping a beat she immediately said "hell no,,, that a Norskie dog" .... her Norwegian friends up in Minnesota would make them all the time... a hot dog is rapped in lompe. a dough made with potato flour .... and covered with mustard ......closer?

It doesn't look like a tortilla to me. Look at the smoothly-tanned outside, and the bubbles on the inside. I'm thinking that it is a relative of a pancake. Maybe a big blini like mar52 said, or the lompe like sizz suggested.

Lompe (Hot Dog in Potato Roll Dough)

This is the Norwegian version of a hot dog. They wrap their boiled hot dog or sausage link up in a potato roll that has been cooked on a griddle.

Looks like sizz called it!

No idea on the area of the dog, but that looks like a tortilla wrapped round it, and that's mustard not cheese. Looks scrummy though.

Looks like an Oki dog to me. The Oki dog is a fusion of American/Mexican/Tex-Mexican/Okinawan. Invented by Sakai "Jimmy" Seuyoshia from Okinawa and popular in LA and Hollywood.
