The restaurant is fairly upscale, polished wood, dim lighting but the crabcake is not conical.

Hated to see Perla lose their chef. After he got in a knockdown dragout in the kitchen with a line cook he migrated over to Uchi.

Lots of good eating in Austin these days...
Re:Crabcakes in Austin (doggydaddy)

Based on all the information you have provided, would it be Perla?

that said, I am at a loss at naming a place that is Roadfood worthy on Airport Blvd. It has a oyster bar and fish store ambiance. You can buy to take home or stay and eat at the tables. It is a great place for watching and meeting people. The problem is I can't remember the name of the restaurant. It was a fairly upscale place and the crabcake was all crabmeat, no filler, and came served in a conical shape on the plate. Anyone know where I'm talking about?
