After finally completing my Charleston/Charlotte/Savannah/Florida trip report, I pondered doing a restaurant review for the Highland Mills Cafe in Charlotte NC, the soul food restaurant that took over the last location of the Coffee Cup.

The only ph# I had no longer worked. I called the property management company for Highland Mills, the building where the restaurant was located and they informed me that sadly the restaurant went out of business on March 1, 3 weeks after I had visited.

That is such a shame because the food was absolutely some of the best I had on the entire trip.
