I love Pizza Palace, but not as much as my wife loves it. Their spaghetti sauce is amazingly good. We'll be in Knoxville in a couple of weeks for lunch, and I'm really going to have to insist on trying something new, however - I think that we ate here the last two times we went through town and something else needs to be tried!

When we traveled through Knoxville, we knew of this place,but Sir Pizza was our favorite place and we never tried this! Now I'm sorry we didn't. We married in '68, so we were all pretty new way back then!!!!LOL

Another wonderful pizza is Dazzo's on Gay St near the Bijou downtown. The guy who owns it makes everything, he really is from Long Island, NY and knows his pizza. Excellent NY pizza though.

I think it's an awesome pizza joint and the pizza is best in Knoxville, by far, which isn't saying much, but it's really good pizza. Also, everything is homemade.
They also happen to have great onion rings, salads, and burgers. Fun place to go.

I've been there several times (used to live in Oak Ridge, TN). One of the more interesting drive-in's I've been to (the ordering system is noticeably older than I am...), and the people are really nice.

The pizza, alas, is only slightly above-average Greek-influence pizza. Very sweet saucy, heavy on the cheese. Not a bad pizza, but not terribly remarkable, either.

It's a place I'd recommend everyone living there, or spending significant time there, should check out, but if you went out of your way to go there, most people would probably be disappointed.
