The place was small and very informal, but was a favorite lunch and snack stop for many of us in The Contingent. I have no idea if the Chicago Mekatos is still open, but plan to find out before my next trip to the Windy City. This place was a hidden gem in Milwaukee--apparently much too hidden. I will miss the empanadas, pan de yuca, and Colombian tamales the most.
