I checked the price and it was $6 plus shipping. (one pound). Well I knew we loved the Maple Walnut Fudge we have ordered several times in the past year, so I decided I would Order a 5 lb loaf of the Maple Walnut then ask that they add a pound of English Toffee flavor in the same box to combine shipping costs.
Well, Dan, The fudge Man, sent me a note verifying the order and told me the Toffee Fudge was a Freebie, since we had purchased several orders previously. He shipped it Thursday the 10th and it arrived in Louisville late in the evening on the 11th (Friday night).
I had not bought either a card or a gift for Janet for Valentines Day at that point. I figured the box would sit in Louisville over the weekend and we would get it Monday, so I had time to shop for a card.
SO- We made a Wally-World/Costco run Saturday and got home by noon. I checked the computer tracking of the package, and it told me the box was delivered just a few minutes before we got home!!
Doing some quick creative work on-line I made up a free-Valentine Card for Janet, with all the usual decorations and sappy words....but also telling her that her present was sitting in the mail box out by the road. She was surprised by the card...and more-so by the clue about the box in the Mailbox.
So she hiked up to the road, got the box, and we laughed about how technology has altered our Holiday Greetings !! It was a very fun experience, and I owe my thanks to Dan for the fine product he shipped and the timely handling of our order...and also to our Post Office and their tracking service that gave me the needed info to make it all work out!!!

Oh Yeah, COSTCO had a coupon for their Red Velvet Cakes this week. $3.00 off the usual $9.99 price. We bought two (before we knew the candy had arrived), so the house has a large supply of good sweets to share when the grandkids bring Jan her Valentines after Church tomorrow !!!

BTW The Fudge, Both Flavors, is excellent quality.

Re:can anyone recommend any good fudge stores that ship (ladygodiva)

thanks again, I have ordered some in the last couple days for a friends party, I will let everyone know which is great, they all should be
Re:can anyone recommend any good fudge stores that ship (CajunKing)

Mountain Top Fudge - Jellico / Pioneer, TN
(423) 562-7339

I have ordered MANY pounds of fudge from them over the past several years. The fudge is creamy and mouth watering, You definately can't eat just one piece...

They only ship during the cooler months of the year, so NO summer deliveries, you must stock up
Re:can anyone recommend any good fudge stores that ship (bbq boss)

Well, here in the North County section of San Diego, there's a town called Carlsbad. There's a guy there who owns a roadfood type restaurant called Al's Cafe in-the-Village. They make hands-down the best fudge I've ever tasted. Our son is in Iraq with the USMC and we ship him and his buddies pounds of the sweet stuff every month. Al's fudge is called "Sweet Al's Carlsbad Fudge" and has no preservatives or additives. Smooth and creamy, no gritty sugar. I love that. He has an 800 number for toll free calls: 1-877-662-3511 Best we've ever had. Have a happy......
Re:Any good fudge stores that ship ??? (mayor al)

We just received a couple of 'loaves' of Fudge from "How Sweet It Is" a candy-maker in Michigan. We bought Maple Walnut and Pecan Turtle to share with our families when they visit over the holidays. The business makes 22 flavors of very creamy-smooth fudge and the price is definitely right. $17.50 for a 5 lb loaf. Add $10 for shipping (and combined shipping for multiple orders) and you get your fudge for about $5 a lb !! This stuff is really good fudge.
http://www.sweetfudge.com/

Edit Note- The website lists one lb cuts...If you want larger pieces they sell 5 and 8 lb loaves. The prices for the larger pieces are a real bargain, if you want the quantity!!!
We found this seller on Ebay, along with over 5000 additional entries for FUDGE. Have fun shopping !!!

Re:can anyone recommend any good fudge stores that ship (ladygodiva)

all good choices so far, I am gearing up for Christmas
Re:can anyone recommend any good fudge stores that ship (Joisey)

  here's the best!

www.jamescandy.com

also have salt water taffy!
Re:can anyone recommend any good fudge stores that ship (ladygodiva)

thanks to all, I want to be the hostess with the mostess at the holiday time.
Re:can anyone recommend any good fudge stores that ship (blinky193)

This place called Shenot's Farm Market has excellent fudge. All homemade with the finest ingredients. I worked for Mrs. Shenot part time and sampled all her fudge, and it is all very, very good.. Here is the link to their website to order on-line:
http://www.shenotfarm.com/store/index.php?main_page=products_all&zenid=821t2rb3fgn26atkg80429c712
Re:can anyone recommend any good fudge stores that ship (rumaki)

Kentucky Fudge Company in Harrodsburg, KY.
It's located in a really neat old-fashioned drug store, but they do ship.
(Or at least they did, the last time I visited, last Spring.)

http://www.finditky.com/listings/2814173/Kentucky-Fudge-Co-Harrodsburg-Ky-40330

Re:can anyone recommend any good fudge stores that ship (acer2x)

  www.steelsfudge.com

Re:can anyone recommend any good fudge stores that ship (jmckee)

Oh -- and Gethsemani Farms bourbon fudge.

http://www.gethsemanifarms.org/
Re:can anyone recommend any good fudge stores that ship (jmckee)

  www.scotchbonnetfudges.com

In the Outer Banks of North Carolina stands our all-time favorite fudge place.
