Pics (mayor al)

 Thank You Michael.
We have always had an NSA/NASA presence in Australia, albeit out in the way remote Outback, where Space Communications and Comm-Intel activities have been running since I was involved with that in the early 1960's. Even with all the cut-backs and changes in those programs the Aussie Stations have maintained their vital link in our world-wide Sig-intel and Space programs. Thank's to them for generations of friendship.
Re:I was honored to serve today. Pics (chewingthefat)

Al,they ate everything, they actually didn't want sides, 1 order of FF, 1 ear of corn, that's it. all the PP, Brisket, ribs, sausage, gone, huge portions, but 1 guy got more Pulled Pork, their plates were 2 lbs. approx. on the first go around. I should have asked them but they seemed delighted with all of it.
Re:I was honored to serve today. Pics (chewingthefat)

A group of 50 Australian Firefighters, who started at the Santa Monica pier, on 8/11, have run accross the USA, they will end in NY City on 9/11, they were accompanied by some NYFD runners, had lunch here today, they are staying at the Fire Academy in Emmitsburg, about 1/8 of a mile from here. It was all you can eat, all you can drink, courtesy of the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation, I gave them a super deal on food and beer. Aussies don't have much in the way of BBQ. They were over the top thrilled, said it was easily the best feed so far[maybe they say that to everyone] They gave me 2 plaques, said no other Restaurant guy got one, it really was a thrill. The run is called "Tour of Duty Run", no doubt it will be covered by national media on 9/11. Here are some pics of some of the guys and myself and my placques.
