I loved the BGR burger I had over the summer at the Dupont Circle location !!!
Also loved BIG BUNS gourmet burgers, in the Ballston section of Arlington, VA..
HATED Rogue States ; (Dupont Circle, new place, one location only)

Five Guys and Elevation Burger watch out....The Burger Joint is giving you somethin to be nervous about. I went to The Burger Joint in Old Town Alexandria, VA over the weekend. Not only did I love the burger, but I loved the ambiance and the people making my burger. The guys that work there entertained me until my burger was done. Great conversation and loved the ambiance of the place. 1980's themed. I got "the Burger" (Double Meat) with cheese, mojo sauce (some type of mayo), tomato, and pickles. The meat they use is phenomenal. It was juicy and flavorful. I don't know if it's some type of seasoning they use or what but the flavor was out of this world. It had a slight charburger taste to it as well, which was surprisingly good for me because I usually don't like that flavor. This was truly the type of burger you can take the meat off the bread and just slice the meat and eat. Next time though, I'm going to order only one patty so I can see how the condiments merge with the burger. The two patties was overkill, and all I could taste was the meat, as wonderful as it was. The thickness of one Burger Joint patty is equivalent to two patties elsewhere (Five Guys, Elevation Burger).
