I don't know how familiar Gregg is with Carl Jr. and Hardees since this chain (CKE Enterprises) only pushes as far north as Pennsylvania or so. But their current shtick is monster burgers. Hardees has been discussed in other threads.

Looks exactly like what i ate as a kid in a little place in Medway Ma called the Brookside---the burger sub--also called The Brookside--was a killer sub made with 1/2 lb of hand form fresh ground beef on a great local made sub roll---and in summer you got lettuce and tomatos from the garden down the street! Bet this one isnt as good!
