We used to go to the Red Brick Tavern every now and then and had some great steaks. The last time we went was a couple of years ago and service was incredibly slow and in a party of 6, every steak was cooked poorly or cold. Not worth the drive out there for that.

I've never eaten there. I've stopped for drinks several times, though. The last time I went by I was heading home from Crabill's in Urbana, and it looked as if it was closed. When I got home I called, out of curiosity. They were open.

Nope. Barbara Hauer was the server for that one. At least at my table. That was just a few days before her wedding. You might have heard of her under her married name, Fritchie. Barbara Fritchie.
