People either love it or hate it.If you don't like itthere are plenty of people who share your opinion. There are plenty who love it too---I was there a few months ago and IMHO, it's as good as ever. There was a time when I worked in that area and I had Pink's at east once a week.

Re:Roodfood Politicos (sk bob)

 I don't give a rats a-- about politics they're all liars
Pinks IS NOT a Roadfood fave.
Re:Roodfood Politicos (joerogo)

When I was a youngster, We used to crash election night parties. Free beer and hot dogs, and no one checked you ID. We used to try to pick the winners. The losers parties were bummers.
Re:Roodfood Politicos (mayor al)

One of the Political Parties has a local 'Headquarters' on the Main Street of a local town here in Southern Indiana. This morning as I drove by I noticed a small crowd of about 20 people gathered around the front entrance (10 AM Friday Morning). Worrying a bit that it was a "Lynch Mob" , I asked the Security guard at the Bank down the street, when I entered, what all the fuss was about "up the Street". The guard, a retired Barney Fyfe type, said that the XXXX party had brought out a car full of Krispy-Kremes and were giving away free coffe and DoNuts to folks who stopped in for "info" about their candidates. AHHH, Election time!!!

Kids in the local school, where one of my D-I-L teaches are doing gravestone rubbings for a Halloween project...Wanna bet some of those rubbings show up to vote in a couple of weeks ???? That's another old-time favorite activity for kids to get them involved in the electorial process !!
Re:Roodfood Politicos (tmiles)

My daughter went to college in New Hampshire and got to see retail politics up very close. Everyone seeking office from Health Board to President knows about getting a nice photo op and getting to meet "real people" at some diner. Let's see how many are interested in meeting "real people" 6 weeks from now.

In any case, it is good for business. Lots of places in Iowa and New Hampshire make enough during presidential primaries to stay in business for the next 4 years.
Re:Roodfood Politicos (Michael Hoffman)

mar52

Al, what I was saying is that I'd go to Phillipe's. I thought that was clear.

Oh, sure. AND he would be talking to all the 'Joe-The Plumber' stereotypes they could round up for the clip.

And on this side of the river one congressional district in Indiana has the Rep. Challenger Candidate using footage of the Dem. Incumbent eating Chinese food with Chopsticks while on a visit to China, as an example of the misplaced loyalties of the guy currently in office. This doesn't translate well in my description, but the TV ADs make the Congressman look like a Lobbyist for the Chinese Government. I guess the other guy should have a KFC leg in his hand ???

It also strikes my funny bone that the clips being used in Offense and Defense before the election will be 'trophies' on the walls of the various restaurants AFTER the person WINS !!! Seldom do we see a follow-up wall record of a losing candidate !! I haven't seen a restaurant with a Photo of a "Loser" from a major political election in all of my RF travels.
Re:Roodfood Politicos (EdSails)

 Guess I erred.
