ITs prob been said in here.( I didnt read all 7 pages) I think its just the economy. ALot of us dont spend as much time traveling and eating out. Less to post about.
Maybe I am not seeing it, but what changed at the site? Seems the same break down to me lol. OF course I dont always see the obvious as my wife likes to point out.

Thistle, Ann and Bob glad to see you back. I don't post much but sure enjoyed reading Bob's trip reports (so much time and energy spent). I have no desire to be slammed for putting ketchup on my hot dogs. I really don't care what the snobs think, I'll eat what tastes good to me.

I have always enjoyed reading your posts (and meeting Bob in Chicago and at the Buffalo RF tour). I hope you will all stay on the site for a long time. Each of you leaves a gap when you are not on Roadfood. Thanks for your past and future contributions to an outstanding food website.

Once I spent much time at this site, loved it

There's a silver lining in in every thread. This one brought back Carolina Bob and Annpeeples.

I'm sure NancyPalooza solidifed her opinion of silverbacks after meeting me in Grand Marais.

I've been gone this past couple of weeks because I all I had was satellite internet at 45 cents per minute plying the Mediterranean Sea. I'm back home and I had my officially documented authentic Margherita pizza in Naples, Italy. I'm a happy man.

I have read this thread carefully, and all points are interesting and noteworthy. Everyone here adds to our dysfunctional family. I did not post for while due to personal circumstances, but this was the first site I tuned back into( besides my e-mail which had 6000 messages!!) But I have learned to think before I respond to a topic such as this because my tone and facial expressions cannot be seen and in the past my comments were certainly taken out of context. I am here to have a camaraderie with people such as yourselves over food.Shared likes and dislikes.I, too grew tired of the hot dog vendor monster that was taking over our fair city, but that problem is solved for me. I do not begrudge these people, but I have no interest in their professional dialogue.( I am, however, a gleeful patron any chance, anywhere) I have met some wonderful people here, and will continue to be a part of Roadfood. Maybe just a bit more quiet.

I don't post a lot. I mainly see if there is someone who is traveling through the area who might need help. I have my usual stock of restaurant recommendations; it doesn't change much. On rare occasions, I'll veer from that policy to comment on something, but that's generally been my criterion from the first.

I've been busy with a manuscript (reference work) since about August and haven't had much time for the site. But I'll do some more posting eventually.

I still have trouble reading the posts since the upgrade almost two years ago. I still have to post in a larger font size just to see what I'm writing. The wider space between the lines did help though (marginally). I still like the font size of the old site. I could read that.
